Black lacquer five-square inrô with gold and silver hiramaki-e and kirigane decoration on a mura-nashiji background of a pheasant perched on a branch of a cherry tree in bloom on one side, and a pheasant on a carpet of leaves on the ground on the other side, among branches of weeping willow; the interior in nashiji and fundame lacquer; signed Kajikawa Spherical coral and Hako-netsuke Ojime with hira-maki-e decoration and mother-of-pearl and pewter inlays, representing three plovers in flight among stylized clouds and waves. Dim. 9 x 5 cm (Slight chips, traces of red powder in the last compartment)
