Painter, architect, scenographer, engraver and pupil of the brothers Ferdinando and Francesco Galli da Bibiena, his main interest was in architecture and scenography. In 1776 he published Caprici di scene teatrale, a set of 12 plates that show his taste for theatre architecture. He was also the architect of the public theatre in Bologna
