1969 Shelby GT 500 SportsRoof
Most powerful engine Many optional equipment including manual gearbox Marti Report and Shelby American World Registry French registration papers as historic vehicle Chassis n° 9F02R480741 When the Shelby GT500 was introduced in 1967, it immediately found itself at the top of the Mustang hierarchy. It offered more luxurious equipment than its little sister the GT350 in addition to offering two versions, coupe and convertible, but it was its 7.0l displacement V8 topped with two Holley carburetors developing 435 hp that impressed. Although some late 1969 models were sold in the 1970s, it is the last model to be released with the Mustang restyling. The general appearance is intended to be more aggressive. According to the Shelby American World Registry, this GT500 is one of 1,536 so-called “Sportsroof” models built that year and according to its Marti Report issued in 2015, our copy was built on January 31, 1969 in Dearborn and delivered on April 22, 1969 by the Sud Automobile Inc distributor in Longueuil, Canada where she would have spent her entire life there before arriving in France in 2015. Only 182 copies were painted in this dark green color (Black Jade) with the white bodywork stripes and 448 copies with the 7.0l engine (code R) and the 4-speed manual gearbox (Code 6)! In addition, like many American cars, this one is packed with options including a self-locking, an optimized axle ratio, power steering, front mounted disc brakes with assistance, seat belts with an indicator light on the dashboard, a radio with presets, slats on the rear window and Shelby alloy rims to complete the look!  Behind the wheel, it is all the American excess that is expressed when you press the accelerator. The torque is impressive and makes driving pleasant at moderate speed whatever the distance to be covered. While the power steering makes maneuvering easy when stationary, it retains a certain precision even at high speed
