1995 BMW M53.8 Evo - Lot 14
1995 BMW M53.8 Evo Very good original condition 77,800 km certified, history documented Only 404 EVO sedans with 6-speed manual gearbox French registration title Chassis n° WBSHC91050GD64611 The first BMW M5 appeared in 1985 on the E28 generation. This one comes to revolutionize the world of sports car by declining a wise basic sedan in a real monster of the road able to compete with some Porsches. Presented in January 1988, the new BMW E34 will experience worldwide success and a 10-year career. The very desirable M5 is the flagship of the range and develops 315 horsepower, it rages without competition in the high-end market of the fastest sedans in the world with a top speed of 250 km / h then 280 km / h with the latest version 3.8l. Out of a total of 1.3 million E34s sold, there are 3,910 examples equipped with the 3.8 engine, of which only 752 with the rare 6-speed gearbox. Its career is divided into three major stages: The 3.6 L model of 315 hp, the 3.8 L version from 1991 then the 3.8 L EVO with 340 hp from May 1994. The M5 EVO is therefore the most desirable evolution being the last BMW to be equipped with the magnificent M30 6-cylinder engine derived from the sublime 2800 CS coupe. This last version is extremely rare, which is explained by a high selling price of 605,000 francs (excluding options) in 1995! The model that interests us in these pages is therefore one of the last M5 EVO manufactured since it was put into circulation on September 6, 1995. Specific to the EVO model, this one is equipped with the new Getrag 6-speed gearbox, 18 inches rims and huge 345 mm diameter compound disc brakes clamped by 4 piston calipers. Sold new in Italy and registered in the Pirelli name, it is ordered with a few rare options such as the light gray leather interior « Silbergrau Hell L7SH », the center console and the door trays covered in leather, the driver’s seat with electric control with memory, the rear curtain, a ski hatch and Motorsport mir
