PAIR OF PALISSANDER FALLS With high crosier back, curved legs at the back, front legs supporting the armrests; seat and back upholstered with foam and covered in beige mottled wool. Stamped on the inside of the crossbars. Circa 1910. Height 96 cm - Width 68 cm - Depth 72 cm History An armchair similar to our pair can be found in Ernest- Albert Ditisheim's apartment in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The interior design of this apartment was redesigned by Le Corbusier in 1915. In addition to the interior design Le Corbusier also designed some elements of the interior furnishings. So much so that in the book "Le Corbusier - Furniture and Interiors 1905-1965", the author Arthur Rüegg improperly attributes this model to Le Corbusier.
