French registration title Châssis : 4470045 Real Barn find Mechanical gearbox Genuine Pallas Palladium Grey AC 108 Mechanical gearbox A work of gifted people, the DS had the difficult task of succeeding the Traction Avant in 1955. It struck the public with its seemingly endless and elegant modern lines, a masterpiece of Flaminio Bertoni, it was also surprising in its technique and design: hydropneumatic suspension, power steering, disc brakes, semi-automatic gearbox to name but a few examples. Twenty years of career and various models ranging from the elegant convertible to the utility station wagon version, she will also shine in competition by winning the Monte-Carlo Rally in 1958. A true myth and symbol of the French industrial genius of the time, the DS is one of the most collected cars in the world. The DS presented here is a DS 21 Pallas version with mechanical gearbox. First put into circulation on May 27th 1966, it is in the desirable Palladium grey colour, reference AC 108 with an extremely well preserved upholstery. It was sold new in Lille in the North of France with the evocative registration number 1369 DS 59. It then changed hands in 1968 to reach the Yvelines, a region it has never left since! This car still olds the registration number 7616 HA 78 and had only 2 owners before being stored in a dry barn in the mid-80s. This is the opportunity to acquire a real barn find of a DS 21 Pallas of the best mileage according to connoisseurs and with an easy to maintain mechanical gearbox! A very nice restoration project to bring this sleeping beauty back to life...
