VŨ CAO ĐÀM
Vu Cao Dam turned to sculpture very early on. Already during his apprenticeship, he excelled in bust-modeling and terracotta will soon become his medium of choice.
Entirely hand-made, this sculpture allows the spectator to fully grasp the full extent of what the artist mentions in his writings when he says «terracotta, unique piece».
The virtuosity of the modelling and the finesse of execution are of a rare quality. Vu Cao Dam manages to capture the serenity and gentleness of these two women standing side by side, linked by a gesture of friendship. This work is a very fine example of his technical mastery and his ability to accurately convey grace and femininity.
