If the delicacy of young Vietnamese women had to take shape through a brush, it would undoubtedly be done through Le Pho. Trained at the Hanoi School of Fine Arts and therefore rich in binational learning, the artist gives like few others, this particular softness. Everything in this composition invites to reverie, to contemplation. From the Tongan mountains forming the decor, to the veil of delicate transparency, the eye of the viewer gets lost, contemplates and admires the serenity of these two young sisters. With a graceful hand recalling the serpentine line dear to the mannerists of the Renaissance, the young woman holds the veil, leaving this private scene on the balcony, open to prying eyes. With a master's hand, Le Pho offers a vibrant tribute to feminine grace.
