Tantô with shobu-zukuri blade, with gunome hamon, nakago with two mekugi-ana, signed Tanaka Tesshinsai Minamoto Yoshikazu and dated 3rd year of Keiô (1867); mune underlined on one side, with a double throat starting from a stylised half vajra, on the other side, a horimono in the form of ken on vajra. Koshirae: black lacquered scabbard with embossed paulownia flower decoration, the elements (kojiri, kurigata, tsuba, fuchi-kashira, kozuka) following each other in shibuichi with a tumultuous flow decoration; fuchi signed Ishiguro Tôminsai Masatsune and kogatana blade signed Inoue Izumi no Kami Kunimasa.
