GODOY ARMAND (1880-1964)]
Signed autograph correspondence addressed to Armand GODOY. March 1929, 3 volumes in-4, garnet-red half-piece with corners, spine with 5 nerves titled (Canape). Number of homage to Armand Godoy in the Mediterranea magazine, March 1929. More than 350 manuscripts by authors such as Paul Fort, Francis Jammes, Valery Larbaud, etc. 1st volume: 219 signed autograph manuscripts, 105 typescripts, 10 photographs, 6 scores; 2nd volume: 139 signed autograph manuscripts, 39 typescripts; 3rd volume: 18 letters and signed autograph manuscripts, 50 typescripts, press clippings. Very valuable set. In March 1929, the Niçoise review Mediterranea published a special issue devoted to Armand Godoy. The bibliophile poet collected in the first volume of this set the original autograph manuscripts of all the contributors. Thus we find a superb 17-page text by Saint-Pol Roux, studies or testimonies by Paul Fort, Francis Jammes, Valery Larbaud, Milosz (6 pp.), Rachilde, Henri de Régnier, Lugné Poe, Gérard d'Houville (pseudonym of Marie de Régnier), a poem by Francis de Miomandre, a score by Francis Casadesus or a study by the very young Jean Tortel, who was to become a major poet of the second half of the 20th century. The 2nd and 3rd volumes collect all the correspondence exchanged about this publication. In particular, there is an important letter from Félix Fénéon, declining to participate in the project: "Since the last century I have never held a pen in a literary project".
