Set of nine letters and a signed autograph card addressed to Alexej JAWLENSKY. Weimar and Dessau, October 18, 1922 - December 21, 1928, in Russian, 18 pages in-4 in ink on paper. The postcard and 6 letters on stamped letterhead paper, 1 letterhead of the "Blue Four". Most of them are related to his exhibition projects while evoking the other artists of his generation (quotations according to the attached translations): - Weimar, 18 X [October] 1922, 2 pages in-4 in brown ink on paper (two binder holes): "[...] I come to you with a special request: you should send your contribution to the Bauhaus Masters' Portfolio as soon as possible. All the Russian artists who have been invited to give their kind support to this portfolio have already submitted their work, except you. This postpones the finalization of the portfolio and generates additional costs every day, while the expected benefits surely decrease each time the project is postponed [..."Weimar, 29 I [January] 1925, 2 pages in-4 square in brown ink on paper, heading with the effigy of the "Blue Four" (two holes in the binder): "[...] No sooner have we arrived here than we both find ourselves immersed in our daily hard work: me with the Bauhaus project, N.N. with the household chores. Yesterday we had a very good evening at home with Schwitters and of course we ended it with dancing. The Klees greet you well, as does Gropius [...]"; - Weimar, 03 III [March] 1925, 2 pages in-4 in brown ink on paper (two binder holes): "[...] I spoke with Dr. Grohmann during my stay in Dresden, he agreed with Dr. Biermann. Klee's article will therefore appear in the magazine 'Cicerone'. I also spoke with Grohmann about your exhibition in Dresden in April. He was kind enough to mention the exhibition in Cicerone and he hopes that the article will appear in the yearbook and that it will be published in a special volume entitled "Young Talents".
