FACEL VEGA Facellia COUPÉ 4 PLACES 1961 Collection Francis Staub
Only 381 cars built Complete Worthwhile restoration project Sold without registration papers Chassis number: F2 B402 Sold new to the American agent Pater Satori in California, this 4-seat Facellia coupé was registered for the first time in the name of its first owner, Mr R. Ringle, on 31 May 1961. Finished in black with a red interior, we know from the Amicale Facel that it remained in the United States until the start of the 1990s before returning to Europe. Among the papers for the car, we found a copy of the Californian title, dating back to 1969, in the name of Derek Allen Williams, a resident of Los Angeles, who was presumably its second owner. The car is complete, externally and internally. The engine is in place with all its ancillaries, gearbox and clutch. The braking system appears to be complete (callipers, front and rear discs, pedal mechanism). The running gear is likewise complete, with the steering rack, hubs, wishbones, shock absorbers and ball joints. The headlamps fitted to the car can be recognised as those reserved for the American market. Still equipped with its Pont-à-Mousson engine, the car has clearly been restored in the past. The paint colour was changed to dark green, with red leather upholstery. Inside, all the dashboard instruments are present, as are the interior accessories and the exterior fittings in chrome-plated steel such as the bumpers, radiator grille, hubcaps and marque badges. A worthwhile restoration project, this Facellia has the production number 167, indicating that it is was one of the first series of cars from 1961.
