CITROËN 2 CV Cocorico 1989
One owner from 1989 to 2018 Only 5600 Kilometers from new The French art of living on four wheels French registration Chassis number: VF7AZKA00KA330804 The now legendary Citroën 2 CV will have a 50-year career. A true symbol of the French art of living, it will be available in numerous limited editions. These include the famous Spot, France 3, Perrier and Charleston. The version called Cocorico has a singular history which corresponds to its rarity. In 1986, the French football team participates in the World Cup in Mexico. For this world rendezvous, the country has a chance to win the cup, and is the favorite. At Citroën, have the idea to propose a special series to accompany France in this event and make a marketing coup. Alas, the French team does not reach the final and it is in a hurry that Citroën hastily removes the football-like stickers on this special series, which finally celebrates the French spirit. Only 1,000 copies will be produced. The car presented in these pages has an amusing history since it was the first prize in a tombola in 1989 in a small village in Sologne. The lucky winner doesn’t really need it but accepts the prize. This 2 CV Cocorico will be used for 30 years on his property and will almost never leave the village grounds! As incredible as it seems this car has a little more than 5000 km on the counter only. It is presented here with a charming patina and has never been repainted or modified. During the test drive, it is a new car that we had in our hands despite its slightly worn appearance. The car was regularly serviced and maintained in good condition by the local Bruandet Paret garage still in operation. The history of the car is complete and the car has its maintenance book (full!), manual and all its invoices which testify to its very low original mileage.
