TAPUSCRIT signed "E" (pencil head) with some pencil annotations,[1935-1936]; 7 pages in-4; in German; with many documents attached (binder holes on most documents; all in two half-marble green cases. File relating to the publication of his article Physik und Realität and its English translation. Einstein's article was published in the Journal of the Franklin Institute, devoted to science and the mechanic arts, No. 221, March 1936, pp. 349-382. The English translation was provided by Jean PICCARD (1884-1963). This important set of documents comes from Jean Piccard's archives. * Typewritten signed "E" (in pencil), Den Deutschen Text betreffende Fragen, followed by Den Englischen Text betreffende Fragen[Questions about the German text, then the English text, shortly after December 2, 1935]. Answers to the translator's questions, for a search for the right word, and the correct grammatical expression, both in his mother tongue and in English, for both versions of the article. The first series is lettered "D" (Deutsch), the second "E" (English); the letters are followed by a number (1 to 29 for German, 1 to 28 for English, plus some additions with lowercase letters) and the page of the reference copy. A few pencil notes from Einstein. Addition of commas to clarify thinking; deletion of a word to avoid repetition; query on the form of an abbreviation; formulation proposals, etc. * TAPUSCRIT of translation work, with additions and autograph corrections by Piccard,[mid-November 1935]; 49 pages in-4; in English. It is provisionally entitled: General Considerations on the Methode of Science. Difficulties are reported, typed on red ribbon; whites are completed by hand; many corrections (some seem to be by Einstein's hand) and some variants. * Correspondence between Piccard and Einstein. 6 carbon copies of German letters of Piccard, 1935-1938, including a long letter of transmittal of the German copy and its translation (18 November 1935), and
