The Aguttes auction house made a great first semester 2016 with a total of 21 million of euros. .
"This excellent result is no accident, but the result of dedicated work on top of a regular average annual rise of 10% over the last 20 years. It proves our company's skill in attracting masterpieces and selling them at prices rarely achieved," says Claude Aguttes, Chairman of the auction house.
With 190 sales carried out by a team of 30 (including four accredited auctioneers), Aguttes maintain its fourth place of France's leading independent auction houses in the sale of art works (whose capital is held by a single shareholder), as well as being one of Drouot's leading and most active players. "In an art market that is certainly more dynamic than the financial markets, but also as selective as ever, we are extremely proud to see our results increasing, thanks to high-quality sales and bidding on an international level in several specialities," says Claude Aguttes. "This growth in a highly competitive environment rewards our constant efforts to garner business in terms of preparation and conviction, the energy and hard work devoted by our teams to making our sales successful, and the quality of the service we are developing to satisfy our customers and maintain their trust."
